Abstract

445,429. Draught-excluders for doors. HAWKES, F. E., 26, Oughton Road, Highgate, Birmingham. Oct. 12, 1934, No. 29194. [Class 20 (iii)] A sliding-bar draught-excluder for the bottom rails of doors and windows is operatively connected to the hinge jamb by a pivoted-folded wire link i, and suspended on pins e on the door &c. by rectangular wire staples d having an upward bend d<1>, allowing the strip to fall on floor when the door is closed. The wire link is strengthened by a folded sheet-metal member g and a bent metal guide may be affixed to the door. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 209,918 and 306,283, [both in Class 20 (iii)].
