444,768. Boxes; opening by tearing. MEDOFF, W., and NATIONAL CELLULOSE CORPORATION, 366, 5th Avenue, New York, U.S.A. Oct. 2, 1934, No. 28210. [Classes 18 and 66] A box-like container is formed of a sheet of transparent material shaped to the required form and is provided with means for maintaining a permanent sized dispensing opening therein. In one form, for interfolded sheets of cleaning tissues, a transparent sheet is wrapped about the stack of tissues and has its end flaps secured together, and a member 5 of cardboard or other stiff material is attached to the sheet. An opening 5<1> for removal of the tissues, after the transparent material within the opening has been removed, is provided in the member 5. In a construction for cereals, face powder, &c., the flaps at the top of the container do not meet, but leave a space covered by a sheet 91 of cardboard. The sheet 9<1> is provided with a line of weakness 11 and a frangible line 12 to form a closure flap 13. Alternatively, a washerlike member 40 of stiff material may be provided in the wall of the container.
