[Class 83 (ii)] [See also Group XVII] A container is made by cupping a single piece of thin metal or other sheet and forming overlapped box pleats 3, 4, 5 in the wall and in the rolled-over rim 6. In modifications, the pleat may be formed at the corners only as in Fig. 12. The top edge is rolled over at 6, subsequently to the forming of the container. A machine for forming containers is described in Specification 444,711.
