[Class 118 (ii)] [See also Groups XI and XVIII] In a wick burner fitted with perforated sleeves 4, 41 forming a combustion chamber in which a non- luminous heating flame is developed, an element of small crosssection is arranged at the top of the combustion chamber to indicate by becoming incandescent when the burner is alight. The element may consist of a ring 8 of metal allov or ceramic material attached to the sleeve 4 by arms or to a ring resting on the sleeve 4. The ring may be undulated curved or bent to form a script which may be used for advertising purposes. Alternatively, the element may be formed by a number of knobs attached by arms to the sleeve 4.
