443,040. Pipe joints. HUNT, M. H., 25, Perrith Avenue, Giffnock, Renfrewshire. Sept. 26, 1934, No. 27584. [Class 99 (i)] An outwardly flared pipe end flange 2 is nipped between a male conical seat 3 in the base of a socket and the inner end of a gland nut 5 screwing into the socket, the inner end face of the nut and the seat being formed with annular ribs 7, 6 which bite into the flange.
