Abstract
Medicinal tablets containing magnesium hydroxide are prepared by mixing powdered milk and magnesium hydroxide and pressing the mixture into tablets. The magnesium hydroxide may be used in dry form or as an aqueous suspension, and the milk may be added as skim- or whole-milk powder, or as liquid milk. When either or both ingredients are added in liquid form the mixture is dried by evaporation in a vacuum or by any usual milk-drying process. A substantial proportion of cane sugar may be added to the mixture. A little starch may also be added but preferably is omitted. Specification 310,919, [Class 81 (i)], is referred to.
