Abstract

A mixture of cocoa butter, sugar, and cocoa is liquefied by heating to between 35 DEG and 100 DEG C., the liquid is mixed with at least 10 mg. of vitamin C per g. of liquid, and the mixture is solidified as tablets. A fat-soluble flavouring, e.g. orange or lemon oil may be incorporated. According to an example, a mixture of 42 per cent of cocoa butter, 48 per cent of sugar, and 10 per cent of cocoa is liquefied at 40 DEG C., powdered vitamin C is mixed into the liquid in the proportion of 6 g. of vitamin C to 94 g. of liquid, and the mixture is solidified at 4 DEG C. as 1 g. tablets.
