439,554. Converting. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE, Baden, Switzerland. March 6, 1934, No. 7081. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 10, 1934]. [Class 38 (ii)] A grid - controlled rectifier 1 is protected against back ignition or short circuit by means of a relay 6 which removes a positive bias and applies a negative bias to the grids. This relay is energized from a transformer 10 in the D.C. lead. A condenser 8 is connected across the D.C. circuit at a point intermediate the choke 9 and the transformer 10.
