438,303. Thermal switches. BRITISH THERMOSTAT CO., Ltd., Windmill Road, Sunbury, Middlesex, and PAYNE, M., 50, Hook Road, Surbiton, Surrey. Jan. 14, 1935, No. 1248. [Class 38 (v)] A thermostatic switch comprises a bimetallic coil 29 connected at one end to a tube 28 fixed to a U-shaped bracket 19 carrying a knob 21 that is adjustable to vary the temperature of operation, and connected at the other end to a shaft 24 carrying an arm 24<a> carrying a contact 26 and an armature which co-operates with a magnet 37 to provide a definite make-and-break.
