Abstract
438,070. Thermionic valves. STEATITMAGNESIA AKT.-GES., 8, Flora Strasse, Pankow, Berlin. July 16, 1934, No. 20840. Convention date, July 18, 1933. Drawings to Specification. [Class 39 (i)] The electrode system of a tube is carried by one or more moulded ceramic members inside the tube, which members are fused to or form part of the envelope or the foot of the tube. The ceramic member may be fused directly to the glass, ceramic, or metal wall, or, if necessary, through intermediate materials. A low-loss magnesium silicate mass may be used as the ceramic member. The pinch to which the member may be fused may be of the same material, or of a different material, in which case a glass intermediate member may be employed. The ceramic member may be moulded integrally with a ceramic pinch or envelope. The lead-in wire may be small and flexible. The electrodes mav be secured to the ceramic member by tubular rivets passing through holes in the member.
