Convention date, Feb. 13, 1933. Divided out of 416,255, [Class 114] A screw-propeller blade has at its root a flange the junction with the shank being formed entirely by a curve or fillet co-operating with a similarly curved retaining means. The blade root 16 has a flange 28 with curved fillet 21 carrying a similarly shaped race 31 of the antifriction thrust bearing which is held by a retaining member 30. The root is hollow and seated over a boss spigot 18, a sleeve or bush 20 being interposed.
