436,171. Lawn-mowers &c. JACKSON & SON, Ltd., C., and LYNDON, T., 91, Bracebridge Street, Birmingham. May 22, 1934, No. 15208. [Class 6 (ii)] A mower in which the rotary cutter is driven from supporting wheels at the side of the machine is provided with a heavy roller carried behind the rotary cutter by means of adjustable #-shaped brackets. The ordinary wooden roller for adjusting the cut may be dispensed with and its supporting brackets or frame parts c utilised to carry adjustable #-shaped brackets d, e the two arms d, e of which are pivotally connected together. The arms e carry a spindle f<1> whereon a two-part heavy cast-metal roller f is rotatably mounted. The arms e may be adjustably supported by screw pins g and springs g<1>, the screw pins being provided with nuts g<2> for adjusting the springs. Sleeves f<3> may be inserted between the arms e and the concave ends of the rollers.
