Abstract

435,990. Charge - forming devices. HOWARD, F. A., 183, Stiles Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey, U.S.A. Jan. 1, 1934, No. 35. Convention date, Jan. 3. 1933. [Class 7 (ii)] [See also Groups XXVI, XXVIII, and XXLX] The fuel supply for a rotary engine comprises compressed carburetted air which passes through an exhaust-heated chamber C and given a whirling motion by fixed helical ribs R. The charge is distributed through pipes 63 to the working chambers. A fuel valve 59 is cam-operated to control the mixture.
