[Class 75 (iv)] In a lighthouse with rotating projection apparatus for emitting flashes in groups, an illuminant F and two or more lightconcentrating reflectors M, or two or more illuminants and a light-concentrating reflector, are arranged so that the reflector or at least one of the reflectors is set with its focal axis passing to the side of the illuminant or illuminants so that the light beam or each light beam is reflected at an angle in the horizontal plane to the axis of the reflector. This causes the angle alpha between successive beams B of a group to be smaller than it would otherwise be, and so increases the ratio between alpha and #, the angle between successive groups.
