[Class 110 (iii)] In a steam turbine plant for driving a propeller 1 of a vehicle, ship, &c. the blades of which can be adjusted for reversing, the main driving turbine 2 is irreversible, and one or more auxiliary turbines 7 are driven by steam tapped from the main turbine at points 8. The auxiliary turbines may work in series. The turbine 7 drives the cooling water pump 6 for the main condenser 5, the condensate from which is delivered by a pump 10 to the condenser 9. A pump 11 feeds the boiler 4. A governor 13 and a safety valve 14 are provided.
