433,009. Airscrews. SOC. ANON. ALFA ROMEO, 33, Via M. U. Traiano, Milan, Italy. Sept. 5, 1934, No. 25575. Convention date, Oct. 20, 1933. [Class 114] The blades p, p<1> of a variable-pitch air-screw have at their roots a band which is adjustably connected to pivot points c, c<1>. The pivots are carried by a flange a, the sleeve portion of which is slidably keyed upon the main boss b of the propeller. Mounted upon this sleeve through an interposed ball bearing f is a screw e adapted to engage the internal screw surface of a nut h which in turn has an outer worm wheel engaging a worm l which is operatively connected with the pilot control. The non-rotatable screw e is guided by pins g, g<1> supported in the main casing n and its cover plate n<1> and the nut e is supported therein by bushes i, il.
