432,805. Photographic roll-film magazines. KODAK, Ltd., Kodak House, Kingsway, London.-(Assignees of Mihalyi, J.; 333, State Street, Rochester, New York, U.S.A.) Feb. 2, 1934, No. 3494. Convention date, Feb. 6, 1933. [Class 98 (i)] A roll-film magazine comprises two separable parts 1, 2, which co-operate to form a single chamber, having a take-up spindle 14 mounted in one part and a film spool 10 in the other, latching means 7 being provided by which the two members are normally held together but which can be disengaged to permit these parts being separated and re-engaged when brought together. The apparatus is particularly designed for use with cameras described in Specification 432,806 in which the separable parts of the magazine are engaged by arms which'are moved apart so that they lie in the supply and take up chambers of the camera. The magazine may be provided with projections 35, 37 for engaging slots and recesses in the arms in such a camera. Modifications are described in which straps are formed on the ends or sides of the magazine which are engaged by correspondingly shaped arms in the camera, or in which recesses are formed on the top and bottom of the magazine to be engaged by claws on the arms. In all cases the members are shaped to prevent the magazine being wrongly placed in the camera.
