[Class 80 (ii)] [See also Group XXXV] A press or other machine tool is driver by an eccentrically mounted motor having a driving gear 16 that can be meshec selectively with different driven gears 14 15 when the motor is moved to different angular positions. As shown, the motor has a radial eccentric flange 17 supported in a groove in the stationary frame, and the gears 14, 15 are formed on the hub and on the inner periphery of a flywheel 12 which is preferably mounted on bearings on the driven shaft, but can be clutched thereto. The eccentricity of the flange 17 is such that in extreme positions, the pinion 16 engages with one or the other of the gears 14, 15. The motor is preferably reversible so that the flywheel can be driven at all times in the same direction.
