[Class 36] In a multicore metal sheathed cable of the kind havng a bare earthing or bonding wire 5 arranged in the space 6 between two adjacent cores 2 and the metal sheath 4, to ensure good contact between the sheath and the bonding wire, the sheath is formed with an inwardly projecting ridge 7 which is adapted to bear on the bonding wire and to press the latter slightly into the insulation of the two cores. To provide a large contact surface between the ridge 7 and bonding wire 5, the ridge 7 may have a longitudinal grooves 9 in which the bonding wire fits.
