Cables and conductors with identifying coverings, plates, and tablets; cables with auxiliary conductors. - In metal sheathed electrical conductors of the kind comprising a bare continuity wire C, a strip D of paper, metal foil &c. is provided to maintain the wire C in contact with the sheath B. The strip bears marks or is coloured to indicate the origin or quality of the cable. In the construction shown, the cable comprises two cores A, A<1> consisting of conductors insulated with rubber or like non-hygroscopic material and the strip is preferably also made non-hygroscopic by impregnation with wax or other suitable material.
