431,407. Vacuum-cleaner attachments. HOOVER, Ltd., Perivale, Greenford, Middlesex.-(Hoover Co. ; North Canton, Ohio, U.S.A.) Jan. 8, 1934, No. 663. [Class 8 (i)] [See also Group VI] A bottle L containing perfume or disinfectant is partitioned at the neck, the two compartments having apertures open respectively to the atmosphere and to the interior of the vacuum cleaner open to the suction of the fan. The bottle is contained in a cylindrical portion H of a plate G which covers the pulley through which the agitator is driven, and is held in place by a lid J with a spring latch K. A valve N operated by a sleeve R<1> enables the air supply and discharge apertures of the bottle to be closed.
