Abstract

465,536. Vacuum cleaners. REPLOGLE, D. B. Jan. 16, 1936, No. 1466. Convention date, March 26, 1935. [Classes 8 (i) and 8 (ii)] An independent motor 21 disposed between the fan motor 10 and the suction nozzle 17 drives a rotary agitator in the nozzle. The fan chamber is fitted with a removable cap 13 which may be replaced by a flexible suction hose attachment 51, Fig. 5, having a cap 50 which can be turned to cut off communication between the floor nozzle and the fan, and carrying at its end a part 52 serving either as a nozzle or as an attachment for an extension 53, Fig. 6. The floor nozzle may be provided at four corners with rollers 92, Fig. 9, mounted on bent flat springs. The fan discharges into dust bag supported by a wire basket. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes the construction of this basket, which forms the subject - matter of Specification 462,954. This does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
