Divided out of 429,432 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 26, 1934. Addition to 415,286. [Class 64 (ii)] In a heat-insulating wall as claimed in Claim 2 of the parent Specification, the material of low conductivity which prevents transmission of heat from the outer wall to the edges of the insulating sheets, consists of crumpled paper or other substance which is structurally separate from the sheets. As applied to a refrigerating cabinet, a sealed insulating container 2 is arranged within a protecting casing 8, and is packed with units of spaced aluminium foil 20 on frames 24. Transmission of heat from the wall 3 to the edges of the foil is prevented by crinkled paper 27, which may be sprinkled with metal powder. Crinkled paper may also be provided in spaces such as 30 between the foils and the outer walls.
