Abstract

433,135. Nonconducting coverings for heat ; refrigerators. MUNTERS, C. G., 35, Strandvagen, Stockholm. Feb. 8, 1934, No. 4203. Convention date, Feb. 14, 1933. [Classes 29 and 64 (ii)] Condensation of moisture within the heat insulation of refrigerator cabinets is avoided by cooling and thereby drying the air which enters the insulation. A refrigerator cabinet comprises an inner container 2 and an outer cover 3 of sheet metal, the intervening space containing insulation which may be spaced aluminium sheets 6 in a casing 5 of impregnated paper or pasteboard. Ventilating apertures 8 are formed in the casings 5 adjacent to the cold inner wall 2 so that any air which enters the apertures 8 is cooled and its moisture precipitated. The condensed water is discharged through a conduit 10. Any moisture which may reach the insulation is discharged through openings 14.
