430,256. Containers for acids &c. ST. ALBANS RUBBER CO., Ltd., Spencer House, South Place, Finsbury, and THORP, A., 4, Cleveland Square, St. James's, both in London. Dec. 15, 1933, No. 35379. [Classes 66 and 125 (iii)] A removable, flexible indiarubber inner container or lining b is provided for a metal container for acids &c. having a reduced neck opening, the rim of the neck portion of the lining being formed into an annular bead d, Fig. 2, adapted to engage under an external shoulder e formed at the mouth of the vessel when the lining is stretched thereover. The container may be closed by a rubber bung m covered by a stretched rubber cap f ; the bung may have an inclined slot n, Fig. 3, for the insertion of a tommy for removal, and a flap p to prevent damage to the lining thereby. An outer metal cap r may be provided. One or more holes are provided to permit the escape of air from the space between the lining and the vessel.
