[Class 132 (iii)] A dartboard or archery target comprises a sheet 1 of woven material rolled upon itself or upon a core into a cylinder 4 which is compressed in a mould or by passing through rollers and inserted into, or wrapped in, a metal or compressed fibre container 5. The threads 2, of coconut fibre, straw, bass, hemp, grass or wire, are more closely spaced than the threads 3, of string, cotton or wire, and the sheet 1 is rolled so that the threads 2 are parallel to the axis of the cylinder 4. The cylinder 4 and container 5 are sliced up in planes normal to the axis of the cylinder. Further sections 6, 8, Fig. 4, of woven material and further containers 7, 9, may be added, the containers 7 and 9 defining the scoring areas of the dart-board. The threads 3 may be removed if desired. Adjacent sections of the board may be separated by metal tubes 10 and 11, Fig. 5, for relative rotation if one part becomes damaged before other parts. The dial may be formed by radial members 13, Fig. 6, with spikes 14, stamped out of sheet metal, or a complete dial 15, Fig. 3, may be moulded or stamped out of sheet metal and forced into a board or soldered or spot-welded to the end or ends of one or more of the metal tubes 5, 7 or 9, Fig. 4. Relative axial movement between the sections 4, 6 and 8 is prevented by circular lips 16 and 17, Fig. 7, or turn buttons 19, Fig. 8, or flat bolts 20, Fig. 8, or cross arms 21, 22, Fig. 8, screwed to the sections. The woven material may be impregnated with a binder such as rubber solution before, during or after being rolled or folded, or complete dartboards may be immersed in a solution of binding material and subsequently dried.
