Abstract
428,739. Charging Diesel engines; valves. WICINSKI, A., 11, Ul. Kalecza, and BUJAK, J. Z., 11, U1. Grunwaldzska, both in Lwow, Poland. June 26, 1934, No. 18841. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (vi)] In Diesel engines wherein an energetic charging of the cylinder with air is obtained by the production of a low pressure in the cylinder during the early part of the suction stroke, the low pressure is produced also all along the induction pipe 2 by providing at the atmospheric end of this pipe a valve 3 which is held closed during the first part of the suction stroke. The time of opening of the valve 3 may be varied by means dependent on the speed of the engine.
