Abstract
426,650. Alternati n g current motors. LOW N E ELECTRIC CLOCK & APPLIANCES CO., Ltd., Boones Street, and LOWNE, F. R. M., 42, Manor Park, both in Lee, London. Oct. 7, 1933, No. 27691. [Class 35] Motors with unwound iron armatures. -The stator of a synchronous motor of this type comprises a wound core between toothed end discs which is movable to a limited extent and surrounded by a cylindrical coaxial rotor having at each end a ring of teeth in proximity to the rings of stator teeth. In the form shown, the stator coil 1 is located on a core 2 between toothed discs 3, 4 which co-operate respectively with toothed rings 22, 23 carried on the iron rotor cylinder 18. The stator can rotate to a limited extent on its supporting pin 7. The rotor is given a starting impulse by the disc 27 on the pivoted lever 24 which may be operated by the push-button 29 or remotely by a cord acting against the spring 28.
