426,636. Printing-machines. CRABTREE & SONS, Ltd., R. W., and CRABTREE, C. H., Water Lane, and PHYTHIAN, T. E., 25, Headingley Mount, Headingley, both in Leeds. Oct. 3, 1933, No. 27224. [Class 100 (ii)] A multiple printing-machine in which each perfecting couple is operated by a separate motor is constructed so that the motors a are mounted between the rear frame band front frame j above the impression cylinders of the machine. The motor a is connected by a shock-absorbing coupling g to a gear c which drives the impression cylinders f by means of gears d, e. The ends of the shaft of the motor a are mounted in the frame j and in a bracket h external to the frame b on which the motor is mounted. The motors a of the various printing-couples may be connected to an equalizing shaft k, and the couples may be driven by inching motors m and gears n, o, p, q, which act through the gear c, d, e to drive the couple while plating &c.
