Abstract

426,393. Fuel - injection pumps. HUMBOLDT-DEUTZMOTOREN AKT.-GES., 149, Deutz-M³lheimerstrasse, Deutz, Cologne, Germany. July 29, 1933, No. 21406. Convention date, July 30, 1932. [Class 102 (i)] In a fuel-injection pump having a lateral discharge passage 3 controlled by the edge 15 of a recess 4 in the plunger, which is in communication with the compression space b y means of a passage 7, the edge 15 has an overlap, in order to secure compression of the fuel before the passage 3 is opened. The recess 4 is also formed with a helical edge 8 controlling a relief passage 9 opening into the suction passage 10, and the plunger is rotatable by means of a rack 14. The suction may take place through a port controlled by the plunger, or past a lift valve 11.
