Abstract
426,348. Containers for paste and the like. ARMSTRONG, G. E., Lea House, Hallow, Worcester, SEWELL, E., and SEWELL, H. F. R., Bandlingill, Cockermouth, Cumberland. Oct. 2, 1933, No. 27095. [Class 102 (ii)] A container for paste and the like comprising a storage space of variable volume, with elastic means constantly tending to reduce this volume and extrude the contents, and valve means for controlling the extrusion has an outlet passage which is initially wide and narrows gradually to an exit orifice. A cylinder 1 of glass or metal contains a piston 24 which is acted upon by the spring 27. The outlet is shaped as shown and is controlled by an inwardly opening valve 14 which is flush with the outside of the cap 10 and is operated by a trigger 18 against the spring 17. To fill the container the cover 4 is removed and the piston pressed down and retained by the clip 31 which engages with the slot in the pin 26 of the piston.
