[Class 39 (i)] In a mercury-vapour discharge tube of glass, the anode arm e surrounds the greater part of a cylindrical anode a in such manner that the arm is as close as possible thereto without touching, the rear end of the anode is not more than 20 mms. from the rear-end of the arm, and the anode supply wire c is covered with glass d which ends in, and the diameter of which is less than that of, a bore b in the anode. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states also that the length of the anode is at least four times its diameter. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
