Abstract

425,012. Roller shutters. NEGRINI, B., 190, Via San Vitale, Bologna, Italy. Sept. 29, 1934, No. 27972. [Class 20 (iii)] A roller shutter or guard comprises horizontal channel or double T-section members A, B, having projections pivotally connecting them with or without intermediate pivoted links L. The projections C<1>, C<11> are fixed to the base or sides of the channels by keying or riveting as shown in Figs. 8 and 10 or otherwise and the hinges are knuckle-jointed to prevent hinging towards the outside as shown in Fig. 3. The hinge pins P are secured by riveting the ends. The securing keys E, Fig. 8, are given a slight taper and are retained in position by bending. The lengths of the connecting links may be varied to facilitate folding as shown in Fig. 16, the connectors C of the groups of six horizontal elements being progressively increased. The connectors can be spaced to produce any desired pattern.
