Abstract

510,130. Hinges. BATES, T. C., and IDEAL WINDOW CO., Ltd. Nov. 18, 1938, No. 33588. [Class 65 (ii)] The two L-shaped plates 1, 2 of a hinge have channels 12 pressed in across the elbows to produce stiffening ribs 10 on the exposed faces. The channels 12, having a maximum depth at the elbow of each plate, are so formed that the stiffening ribs merge into the plane of the limbs 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b of the L-shaped plates, which limbs need not be at right angles to one another as shown. Lugs 15 limit the amount of opening of the hinge.
