Abstract
424,062. Semi-rotary engines. DAW, Z. W., 11, Queen Victoria Street, London. Aug. 14, 1933, No. 22631. [Class 110 (ii)] Means to convert the oscillating motion of a crank 1 fixed to the engine shaft 2, of a semi-rotary engine, to a rotary motion of the shaft 10, comprises a forked connecting rod 3 pivoted to pins 6 in a sliding cross-head 4, and a second connecting rod 7 pivoted to the rod 3 between the forks. The latter rod may be pivoted to the same cross-head pin as the rod 3 especially where two engines drive a common shaft arranged between them.
