Abstract

246,748. Harvey, E. W., and Smollett, A. Sept. 3, 1925. Reversing.-In order to adjust the cam shaft angularly for reversing, it is driven from the crank shaft by a gear train comprising intermediate wheels 3, 4 mounted eccentric to one another on a carrier 9 movable in the plane of the wheels to bring either of them into the gear train. The carrier 9 slides in a recess 18 and is moved by means of a link 12.
