Abstract
423,459. Imitation fires. BERRY, H. H., and PAINTON, C. A., 85, Newman Street, Oxford Street, London. Nov. 27, 1933, No. 33158. [Class 126] The spinner 9 of an imitation fire is carried by a support slidably mounted in relation to the lamp, so that it may be readily removed for adjustment or to replace the lamp. In the form shown the support comprises a vertically-adjustable post 4 carried by a base frame of U -form, the limbs 1 of which slide in guides at each side of the lamp socket and are provided with curved ends 1<11> which engage the guides to retain the support in position. The spinner is carried on a pivot pin on a spring arm 6, which bears on the top of the lamp, and unintentional removal of the spinner is prevented by the enlarged end of a horizontally-bent portion 7 of the post 4. A strip 10 of muranese glass is held by clips 11 to improve the flicker effect. Specifications 281,552, [Class 126], and 401,451 are referred to.
