[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 3, 1934.] [Class 99 (i)] [See also Groups XXIX and XIX] An inflator - connector 1 for pneumatic tyres which is fitted with an adjust - able pressure - regulating valve is connected to the tyre valve casing by three internally - threaded segments 28 having outer conical parts 291 whereby they are drawn together by the cam action of a housing 13 when the latter is moved towards the connector 1 by a lever 15. The segments 28 are pressed outwardly by a spring 29. Cam surfaces contacting wing members on the housing 13 are formed on the short arm of the lever 15. The tyre valve stem is depressed by a hollow pin 16 and its casing seats against a rubber ring 14.
