421,171. Enamelling. KREIDL, 1., 5, Sebastian Kohlgasse, Vienna. Sept. 24, 1934, No. 27428. Convention date, Oct. 10, 1933. Addition to 401,650. [Class 56] Relates to the process for producing enamelled articles of sheet iron, described in the parent Specification, in which the iron is alloyed with at least one of the metals, particularly cobalt or nickel, the oxides of which cause the adhesion of the enamel. According to the present invention, the iron is alloyed superficially by diffusion into its surface of the adherent metal. The diffusion can be effected by known methods such as by bringing the iron into intimate contact with cementation mixtures containing the adherent metals and heating to a suitable temperature.
