Abstract

May 19, 1933, Nos. 14482 and 17439, (the second Provisional Specification being divided out of the first Provisional Specification) [Class 39 (iii)] A combination of an electric heater with an electric clock comprises a cast metal base 10 with upstanding side pieces, supporting a hollow column 14 of sheet metal of a height at least equal to the radiating surface, and a detachable rear wall 17. An electric heater 25 comprising a coil of resistance wire on a refractory tube within a reflector 27 is mounted on the rear wall 17, and holes 30 are provided for the upward passage of air. An open grid 23 is provided in front of the heater. An ornamental head 12 provides a support for an electric clock 13, which, with the heater, is supplied from leads 39. The heater may be disconnected by a switch 41 without affecting the clock. Additional heaters and an electric fan may be provided to increase the flow of hot air.
