[Class 120 (ii).] In high draft apparatus using endless belts, especially when wide belts are used as in drawing-frames, flyer frames, and mules, one or both rollers 1, 2 carrying the belts 3, 4 are provided with recessed parts 10, 11, staggered longitudinally and circumferentially, as shown, and of less length than the rollers, so that when such parts pass through the nip the pressure on a part of the belts is momentarily relieved, thereby enabling the belts to accommodate themselves to any incipient lateral deviation due to any inequality of dimension or material of the belts.
