Abstract
416,157. Circulating furnace atmospheres. WILD, L. W., and WILDBARFIELD ELECTRIC FURNACES, Ltd. North Road, Holloway, London. June 21, 1933, No. 17709. [Class 51 (ii).] In an electric oven 1, in which the heating elements 3 are arranged around a basket 4 having a perforated bottom 5, the inlet to the atmosphere circulating fan 10<a> is formed by a conical ring 9 and flat plate 8 providing an inlet of about half the fan diameter. The radial blades of the fan project upward from a plate 10 and the central parts of the blades are tapered at 11 to facilitate the flow of air which circulates as shown by the arrows. A copper disc 14 is provided upon the driving shaft to prevent heat passing downward to the motor 12. Indicating thermocouples 15, 16 are provided.
