Abstract

414,909. Pivoted - sliding sashes. COUSINARD, A., 31, Rue de BÚcon, Courbevoie, Seine, France. Sept. 11, 1933, No. 25162. Convention date, Sept. 13, 1932. [Class 20 (iii).] Pivoted-sliding sashes are carried on cylindrical heads 3 eccentrically mounted on plates 2 secured between two connected sliding members 1. The housing on the sash for the heads 3 consists of two parts secured by integral lugs 6. The sashes have edge grooves engaged by spring-pressed channels 9. The springs 11, 13 are positioned against brackets 15 and engage C-shaped members which guide the channels. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also pivoted spring-pressed tumblers to which the sash cords are connected and which, on breakage of the cord, automatically engage racks in the frame to hold the sash. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
