Abstract
413,898. Hatching -appliances. STEPHENS, H. W., St. Leonards Court, Upton-St.-Leonards, Gloucestershire. Sept. 27, 1933, No. 26624. [Class 5 (ii).] One or more electrically-driven fans, mounted on the door of an incubator, are so arranged as to be inoperative while the door is in the open position. A fan 3, which may be protected by a perforated guard 6, is mounted on the door 2 of an incubator, the fan being driven by a motor 7 also mounted on said door. Air enters and leaves the incubator through damper controlled apertures 14 having associated heating elements 16. The motor circuit comprises a switch 11 operated by the abutment of a member 9 on the door 2 against the switch arm 10. Alternatively, a knife member on the door may coact with a slotted member on the casing to form an operating switch. Alternatively, the motor may be disposed on the top of the cabinet and the fan drven through a flexible shaft. More than one fan may be mounted on the door, the fans being connected in series or parallel or driven by a common motor.
