Abstract
413,447. Cleaning goggles &c. DAVOREN, L. A. V., 67A, Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham, London. April 1, 1933, No. 9881. [Class 138 (i).] The lenses of goggles or like translucent eye protectors are adapted to be cleaned by wiping blades mounted for oscillation or rotation and connected through reduction gearing with a wind vane. In the construction shown, wiper blades a, b mounted for cleaniag the lenses c, c<1> of goggles c<2> are pivoted on a plate d secured to the lens holders. The blades at their upper ends are connected to a pivoted plate e<2> formed with a slot e<4> for engagement by a crank pin f on a pinion f<1>. The pinion is driven through reduction gearing from the shaft g<4> carrying the wind vane h. When rotary wiping blades are used, the crank pin f and plate e<2> are dispensed with and the pivots a<1>, b<1> receive rotary motion, through toothed wheels, from the pinion f<2>.
