Abstract

308,864. Fortescue, G. J. Feb. 9, 1928. Windows and the like, cleaning. - Clamps 3 secured to the windscreen 5 carry a tube 4 containing bearings 6 for a screw 7 which can be actuated by a handle 8 so as to cause reciprocation of a nut 9 carrying the wiping element 10. The screw may be actuated by other means than by the handle 8. According to the Provisional Specification, automatic means may be provided for effecting reversal of the rotary movement of the screw.
