Abstract
344,201. Windscreen wipers. DARBY, J. H., Newton House, Newton, Rugby. Feb. 22, 1930, No. 5945. [Class 138 (i).] A device for removing dust or dirt from a windscreen e, Fig. 1, as well as rain or moisture, comprises a liquid spray b<1> adjacent a wiper d. A water container a is mounted near the dashboard or within the bonnet, and a conduit b is led to the windscreen. A bulb device c is introduced into the conduit b with non- return valves c<1>, c<2>. By squeezing the bulb c liquid is ejected on to the windscreen. The bulb recharges itself with liquid. In a modification, Fig. 2, a pump d is provided for the same purpose with valves d<1>, d<2>. Chemicals and/or antifreezing liquids may be added to the water a. If desired the conduit may connect directly with the wiper arm.
