413,047. Boots and shoes. LOTUS, Ltd., 193, Sandon Road, Stafford, and BOSTOCK, N. F., Pitsford House, Pitsford, Northamptonshire. Feb. 9, 1933, No. 4004. [Class 17 (ii).] Soles.-Relates to moulded soles provided with a pattern comprising recesses and raised portions, especially for golf shoes, and consists in extending the pattern so as to resist slipping, towards the edge of the sole beyond the line of stitching securing the sole to the shoe and forming a stitch-receiving channel or groove through the raised portions of the pattern and in ribs or raised portions in the recesses of the pattern. Preferably, the pattern extends to the edge of the sole on the inside of the foot, and, in the moulding, a stitch receiving groove 8 is formed below the tread surfaces of the raised portions 6 of the pattern and above the bottoms of the recesses 7 between these raised portions in ribs 9 which are inclined from the groove toward the sole foundation.
