[Class 141.] An article of loosely-woven fabric, such as the wrapper of a sanitary towel, has an area 6 which is unified, by treatment with a thermoplastic &c. material under heat and pressure, in order to provide an anchorage for pins or other penetrative fastenings. Preferably, the selected area is impregnated with the material, but a patch of fabric or paper coated on one side with the material may be applied.
