[Class 29.] Absorption machines and systems.-Both sides of the pulsating diaphragm of the gascirculating device described in the parent Specification are exposed to the gas pressure so as to minimize the force necessary to vibrate the diaphragm. Thus, e.g., the diaphragm 5, Fig. 2, may be secured to a plate 6 suspended from the cover of the absorber and disposed in a compartment connected to the evaporator. by a pipe 9 and to the lower part of the absorber by a duct 10. The absorber cover also supports the electromagnet for vibrating the diaphragm, and the plate 6 is provided with a nozzle 7. In a modification, the nozzle 17, Fig. 3, is directed to an external pipe 16 connected to the lower part of the absorber. In another arrangement, the periphery of the diaphragm is perforated and secured to a correspondingly perforated annular flange, on the inside of the absorber.
